Pipe Descaling

What a pipe looks like when in need of a descale

Pipe descaling removes accumulation of rust and minerals from the inner surface of cast iron sewer lines.

It involves a specialized machine with specific attachments that are connected to a rotating cable.  The attachment is inserted into the sewer line and spins at a high rate of speed which then scrapes the inner walls of the pipe. This process cleans the pipes and makes the sewer flow properly again.

Descaling can prevent future backups and potentially prevent replacement of the entire sewer line; which can be more costly.

Before having your sewer line descaled, a sewer camera inspection should be performed to asses the condition of the pipe and ensure that descaling is the right course of action.
